Specialisation Project.
The specialisation project was developed as a interactive narrative, with the goal to transmit the story through mechanics environment and sound. The goal for this project was, to transmit the story without stopping the player from playing, no cut-scenes, pauses or written text the player has to stop playing to read.
One fluent experience through which the player would be able to follow the story of father, James, trying to find his lost daughter (Roisin). The search that starts out as a game of hide and seek, turns into a quest to free his daughter from the house. Discovering their future new home holds more dark secrets than they bargained for. Skills I have picked up during the project are: scripting, A greater understanding of environmental story-telling and crafting a story that can be told without cut-scenes or game-play interrupting mechanics. |
Due to problems with the editor, and playing custom music after a certain point; this gameplay video doesn't contain all the sound files and just gives a general feel of the level. For the full experience, go to the bottom of the page.
